Client Description
We are very proud to be able to help Hospice of Virginia and be a part of their mission.
Hospice of Virginia is a care provider with over 20 years of experience, dedicated to supporting individuals and their families during the end-of-life journey. Their core mission is to provide exceptional physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support, enabling patients to experience their final days with dignity, choice, and comfort. They operate with the belief that no one should die alone, afraid, or in pain.
Founded in 1996, Hospice of Virginia is one of the oldest and largest hospice providers in the state, serving over 60 counties. They were among the first to offer in-patient respite care and continue to operate an in-patient unit at Retreat Doctors' Hospital in Richmond.
In addition to standard hospice care, they offer complementary therapies such as massage, pet, and music therapy, aiming to provide freedom from pain and discomfort. They also have a "Wish Program" designed to help patients fulfill their dreams and create lasting memories.
Hospice of Virginia works in partnership with assisted living facilities and nursing homes to provide an extra layer of support for residents, developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the patient, their loved ones, and the facility's staff. In 2019, they joined the ADDUS HomeCare family, which has allowed them to focus on patient care while ADDUS handles operational aspects.
